Summary

Description	English: Ford's statue The Egyptian Singer - vintage photo Modern photo of "The Singer", aka "Egyptian Singer", by Edward Onslow Ford, showing restoration of polychrome finish. The statue is 50% lifesize and cast using the lost-wax method. Note the small hole in the ibis's crown at the base of the harp, marking the spot where a curled spike has been lost or broken off; a small feature at the tip of the harp has also been lost.Compare scan of vintage photo on Commons, thumbnail at right. Owing to the difficulties of shooting handheld in artificial light various tweaks and colour/contrast corrections have been performed, and the overall image has been lightened to emphasise detail in the figure. A version of this photo has appeared on Flickr under my username Ketrin1407.
