For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Beyer Be-Qu 4.4.56 FIFA-Jugendturnier in Budapest. Vom 28.3. bis 2.4.1956 fand in Ungarn das IX. FIFA-Jugendturnier der Fußballer statt. 16 LÄndermannschaften stellten sich zum Kampf. In den vier Abteilungen erkämpften sich Ungarn, Rumänien, Italien und die CSR den Gruppensieg. Die DDR-Vertretung belegte hinter der CSR vor der Türkei und Griechenland den zweiten Platz und blieb ungeschlagen. UBz. Die Spieler (v.l.nr.) Schegitz, Domke, Dorner, Wehner und Mühlbächer während einer kurzen Rastpause auf dem Weg nach Keczksmet, wo sie gegen die CSR-Mannschaft ein achtbares 1:1-Unentschieden erhielten.
