Fellowikinews (talkcontribsglobal editspage movesblock userblock log) edit

This user is a sockpuppet of my account. I am n:User:FellowWikiNews on Wikinews.org. I would appreciate if someone blocks this account indef. FWN 00:51, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have blocked this user as requested, after confirming that:
We must be careful in this way, because vandals sometimes make these charges against legitimate users, attempting to confuse sysops who do not know other projects' sysops. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 07:17, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Supported. However in my impression it is not recommendable to choose different usernames on different projects. No, it is no accusation, but from my bitter experience. My IRC nick and wiki username are different, and as you might guess already, when once I was trolled, my impostors assumed my IRC nick on wikis. --Aphaia 09:34, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bam Margera edit

Some parts of its content was blanked twice by anon(s) using the same IP address. Please watch it out. Thanks. --Aphaia 03:38, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since then, its text was removed twice. I semip'ed it for a week. --Aphaia 09:35, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jcart1534 edit

Please block this user indefinitely. I have that user name, User:Jcart1534, over at Wikinews and the user here is a sockpuppet of my account. I appreciate the help. Jc1534 23:13, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Incidentally, it's actually an impersonator, not a sockpuppet. A sockpuppet would be you under other names on a single project. For instance, if you request to get "Jcart1534" assigned to you, it and "Jc1534" would then be your sockpuppets. (More specifically, one account is usually considered the original, and the others sockpuppets.) Sockpuppets need not be a bad thing, but they have far more ill uses, and users, than good ones. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 01:35, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The account Jcart1534 was usurped and has been reassigned properly. --Aphaia 13:38, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kazoo attack again edit

Large vandal attack just sorted by Jon Harald Søby see here. I called the steward (again) and we sorted most of the damage & I've requested CU on both attacks. Can I suggest there are some templates and maybe categories you may wish to protect. I would also suggest protecting from re-creation the categories used by the vandal (they were used on Wikibooks too). Thanks --Herby talk thyme 11:13, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kazoo is a pretty k3w1 guy really. Yup pretty k2w1. GreenBalls 06:58, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Protection on "Barney and Friends" Page(Episode Quotes) edit

Could someone please put protection on the "Barney and Friends" Episode quote page? Unregistered users keep going in and mixing up the quotes, when the quotes have been put in order. I have had to fix them numerous times, and no, I know I'm not logged in right now and using my IP, but I keep having to fix the quotes. Please, someone put protection on the page, I can't find where to request protection so I thought I'd post here. And I don't know how to put protection on a page, so I was wondering if someone could do it for me. 142.163.22.199 00:03, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I cannot find which page you meant. Link please? --Aphaia 01:39, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I believe our anonymous editor means Barney & Friends, which seems to be in the middle of a minor edit war over quote order, not vandalism. Vandalism is obvious and deliberate defacing of an article. Content disputes should be worked out between editors on the article talk page, and taken to either the village pump or administrators' noticeboard if no agreement can be reached. But I think the greater problem with this article (besides the formatting issues) is that there doesn't appear to be a single memorable quote in the entire article, and probably cannot be one, given the audience. Unless this show has some kind of dialog or catchphrase that is something more than mere "plot" advancement or simple scene transcription, I'm not sure we can make it useful to Wikiquote. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 02:23, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Having given a look to that article, I agree with Jeff. Some sections seem to me meaningless and some sections are way too long (and most of their parts seems not significant). I am afraid some of them are the entire copy of an episode or almost ... In my opinion they should be trimmed down radically. --Aphaia 05:21, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They seem to have stopped this garden-variety prank editing after the warning. I wouldn't worry about it unless they resume, in which case we could block them and possibily notify the company (TrakPro, LLC) whose IP is being used.[2] ~ Jeff Q (talk) 18:10, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Recent Vandalism edit

Of recent, here are some that need looking into as possible sockpuppets. It is most likely the same person (Wiki-star), since this same person has been vandalizing the same pages and following my contributions for around three years in order to incessantly vandalize. His activity is growing especially annoying, since he has vandalized, following my activity and the pages which I have contributed to in the past. Please take a look at these user names, which I am already sure, are sockpuppets. Whatever other names I locate associated with similar vandalism, I will bring it up here: 24.3.102.197, Hedorphian, Ogma-Estanvo, Gohan, Lord Wilkes, and Farister-Bob. Zarbon 13:55, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This person is vandalizing the same pages over right now, switching between user names and ip addresses. Hedorphian, Ogma-Estanvo, and 24.3.102.197, which I am now certain are sockpuppets, made the exact same revert in an extremely short timeframe. This is seriously getting annoying. Zarbon 15:21, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Before you think Zarbon is correct that I'm a sockpuppet I would like to point out that he is known as a major sock puppet master on Wikipedia, where he is always being closely watched by admins. Cheers! -- Ogma-Estanvo 15:28, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is now definitely Wiki-star. His reference to me as "zarbond" is also evident in the past. Please refer to evidence and will someone please ban his ip addresses along with his now obvious user name sockpuppets. Zarbon 15:58, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yur not so great yourself Zarbon. I'm not a sockpuppet of anyone. -- Ogma-Estanvo 15:59, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from vandalizing the pages. I have provided sufficient evidence to your prior chaos and I am positive that your stupidity is boundless, but your actions will stop eventually, since the pages will have to be protected in order to prevent your further abuse. I would like to point out that your activity is just plain disgusting at this point. Zarbon 16:07, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just trying to make the pages flourish. What DO you have against me anyway? -- Ogma-Estanvo 16:09, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

flourish? All you're doing is removing quotes and/or creating sockpuppets to make vandal reverts. Then you go and accuse me...when I have been using my one and only user name here. And if that's not enough, you call what you're doing "flourish"...digusting. I'm surprised right now that you haven't been indefinitely banned for this sort of garbage. Zarbon 16:11, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm removing quotes that consist of dialogue that appears every two minutes. There are FAR too many insignificant quotes on the pages. I am getting tired of your rudeness and you groundless accusations that I am a sockpuppet of a vandal. -- Ogma-Estanvo 16:13, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, you shouldn't be removing quotes. Secondly, you shouldn't be creating a mess such as this by reverting the pages incessantly, as you did by adding words such as "poping" on the Cooler page. This is frankly nothing but filth coming from you. I am hoping that an admin will stop you dead in your tracks, because I don't like people who create the sockpuppetry and vandalism you have. Zarbon 16:15, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well watch the movie. They do say poping in the Japanese original version. How can i help the pages flourish if there are 500,000,000,000 insignificant quotes on them. That's just too many, even for Season adjusted pages. -- Ogma-Estanvo 16:17, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The quotes are at ten per episode. That is the maximum number. And therefore, it shall remain so, as it has for a very long time. That is why the pages have been broken down to seasonal subpages, to prevent further stupidity like this from idiotic sockpuppets such as yourself, who at this point, do not deserve to be breathing. If I sound harsh, it's because I want to. You do nothing but disgust, and that's what most people can say about you. Zarbon 16:19, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

At this point, your bordering on Personal Attacka Zarbon. Cool off. Anyway I just want to make the pages really excellent and so many of the quotes are trivial. You need to work with me rather than aginst me. -- Ogma-Estanvo 16:21, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you literally stupid? Or are you on borderline insanity? Do you have some form of disorder that I am unaware of...you have proven turret syndrome at this point...with repetitive vandalism. I am seriously annoyed at your stupid behavior for over 3 years now. When are you going to stop this stupid incessant idiocy? Zarbon 16:25, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The day that I die. -- Farister-Bob 16:57, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the accounts Zarbon complained about have now been temporarily or permanently blocked, after clear abuse involving harassment and the moving of Zarbon's userpage. Permanent blocks on the temporary ones will likely follow, though I don't have time to do this right now. Gohan, though apparently a vandal, does not yet exhibit editing patterns which make a strong case of association with the other usernames. ~ Kalki 17:31, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
All of the registered accounts except Gohan have now been permanently blocked as clearly associated and misused accounts. ~ Kalki 19:42, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for dealing with the problem. The same person has apparently created multiple accounts, which were simultaneously blocked as evidenced by the activity from Dr. Eisenhower, Brenden Filone of New Jersey, Colonel Winthrope, and Jeremy S. Leinstein. It is apparent that the blocking of this user is insufficient. I've located a minimum of 50 other user names incorporated to this user's behavior in the past. He has in fact used my name many times in the past in order to frame me. I was unaware of this activity. I recently stumbled upon these: Prince Zarbon, SlavicZarbon, Dublin Zarbon, A pencil for Zarbon, Bastique's Zarbon on flamegrilled burgers, Zarbon Is Zarbon On Zarbon, Zarbon Returns Returns, Zarbon The InvisibleSun on Stolen Motorbike, Zarbon has CheckUser, Zarbon returning again... from Ainsdale!!!, Zarbon returns again... and now from Merseyside!, ZarbonThrowsATantrum, ZarbonReturningonWindowsXPmachineinLiverpool, and Zarbon riding a motorcycle in his briefs stolen. I can mention at least a slew of other user names he has. I stumbled upon these names through the indefinitely blocked users category and I found that administrators have incorrectly attributed my name to this person's stupid activity. Frankly, I wish I had brought this up earlier. His first sockpuppet was Wiki-star. And from there, it appears he has created a slew of over 100 sockpuppets, at a minimum. The pages that have been vandalized and the respective subpages need to be protected in order to avoid further vandalism. Zarbon 23:57, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You spotted my blocks very quickly. What makes you think that they are anything to do with your case?--Cato 18:50, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Simple. Brendan Filone is one of my favorite characters on my list. This imbecile runs down my list and chooses names to associate with his stupidity. That one right there is automatically a sockpuppet. Is it any wonder that he'd do this...I mean look at how many times he used and abused my user name alone. I mentioned a slew of names I located associated with his gibberish. Another example, I look at "Dr. Eisenhower"'s contributions and I see that he vandalized the sopranos page, for example, the exact same way that his preceding sockpuppets had, which makes that an obvious sockpuppet. Most of the names associated with his stupidity and idiocy occurs simultaneously. The same way in which he reciprocated at attacking my user page with numerous user names, he uses a bountiful amount of user names to simultaneously attack many pages here on wikiquote. He's been pulling this disgusting filth for over a year now here at wikiquote and over three years at wikipedia. I opened a case against him at wikipedia, and they checked most of the names associated with his madness. They've banned many, but some of his sockpuppets he is still using. If for any reason the same pages are vandalized in the exact same manner, it's most likely him. He's been doing it for some time now in order to harrass me by following all my contributions. I pointed this out earlier and it took the administrators quite some time to figure this out and unban me from wikipedia as well. Zarbon 03:08, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I was right. Gohan is another one of his sockpuppets. The season 4 page was vandalized in the same manner just recently. Zarbon 03:39, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please review the edit history of Arbok. He is largely well-meaning (and some of his edits, correcting vandalism and typos, are constructive) but misguided. His main activity has been to welcome new users (without signing the messages, which is unhelpful). In many cases, he has deleted and replaced welcome messges, thereby removing the signature of the original welcomer and even replies by the editor. In some cases, he has kept the signature but ltered the text; it is clearly utterly out of order to alter other people's signed messages. I have reverted and warned him, and he has made the alterations again.

Further, his edit summaries areoften abusive, such as "AGE" is correct! Learn to type correctly. (it sgould be "aged") and That is correct! Learn to spell. (maybe he does not know about British spelling).

Other edits are even less helpful. An editor created Bob Barr. He wiped the page, marked it as a speedy and warned the creator for vandalism. To be fair, he has now apologised.--Yehudi 21:58, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You won't believe this - he's reverted Commons Delinker and given it a warning for vandalism.--Yehudi 23:18, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that he/she is a good faith editor and just needs some advice. It would be premature to take strong action.--Poetlister 13:34, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am not a registered Wikiquote user, I do have several thousand wikipedia edits to my credit under my username, so please don't think I'm new to the wiki world. This user has in three separate incidences now, reverted wholly legitimate edits from me on The Dark Knight page. Then provided my talk page with a warning for inserting nonsense. When I commented on his talk page and advised him that he was in fact wrong in his revert and provided examples, he called it a "stupid comment" and removed it...then reverted the page again. His petulance and apparently his consistent discourtesy is grounds for a block in my opinion. I know it would be on wikipedia, and wikiquote has many of the same standards for editing. 98.220.177.162 23:47, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Arbok has now, twice, removed my wholly legitimate edit to this discussion because it references his continued violations. 98.220.177.162 23:59, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How many times do I have to tell you? You're overreacting! If you don't stop, I will report YOU for harassment. - Arbok 00:33, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My thoughts on this are that I wouldn't necessarily classify many of this user's edits as vandalism, but they are certainly not constructive and are often combative. I would ask that this user please tone it down and not continue in this fashion. Please do not remove valid discussions and if you have disagreement with other editors, please open a dialogue on either that user's talk page or the discussion page for the page in question (e.g. The Dark Knight). ~ UDScott 00:32, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You got it, Scott! - Arbok 00:34, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This user has absolutely disrupted my editing for the evening. His continued personal attacks and the reverting of legitimate edits are absolutely uncalled for. Now he is apparently going to report me for harassment, when he has been following me around the project for the better part of the night reverting my edits and being combative. 98.220.177.162 00:36, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have now given Arbok a Test4 warning after he removed comments from User talk:Yehudi.--Poetlister 07:06, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He's now acting up at User talk:Sceptre, Portal (game), and Tenth Doctor, violating the copyright clause of WQ:VAND. Will (talk) 22:11, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Arbok has more than worn out several admins' attempts to assume good faith through his many failures to follow advice and then warnings, and now his obviously deliberately one-sided interpretation of my advice to both him and Will (Sceptre). I endorse (A) his block (which should be extended if he resumes any disruption after it expires); (B) the cancellation of his clearly retaliatory WQ:VIP post against 98.220.177.162; and (C) a permanent opposition to his pointless request for adminship. I'm afraid I don't see any way in which Wikiquote will benefit from his further activity here. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 00:31, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This guy is overreacting and accusing me of vandalism when I have not vandalized anything. - Arbok 00:14, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A simple look at my edit history from the past day, as well as one from his, will show his trolling of every page I have edited on, his insistance on reverting my edits to other user's talk pages, his removal of my participation from the above discussion and the consistant posting of vandalism warnings on my talk page. His behavior is beyond unacceptable. 98.220.177.162 00:17, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, if you look at his edit summaries, he has twice now directed personal attacks towards me. I'm not sure why he has chosen me as the one to direct his behavior towards, I simply came here from wikipedia to poke around and update some quotes. 98.220.177.162 00:20, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, you don't accuse the innocent. In case you haven't noticed, I looked up "The Dark Knight" on Yahoo's search engine and found that you were correct. Second of all, I'm not attacking anyone, so quit bugging me! - Arbok 00:22, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Whether you like it or not, whether you believe it or not...calling an editor an idiot is an attack. Calling an editors comment "stupid" is an attack. Reverting a users comments from another users talk page is not allowed. Neither is removing relevant discussion from these pages simply because you don't like what's being said about you. Your editing has been absolutely disruptive. 98.220.177.162 00:26, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This coming from someone who can't even punctuate correctly. - Arbok 00:28, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Another personal attack. Will someone please take care of this editor? 98.220.177.162 00:32, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Enough already! That certainly is not a personal attack! Explain how, because I absolutely don't see that as a personal attack. - Arbok 00:36, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Per wikipedia, which wikiquote shares standards of, any edits which demean an editor either directly or indirectly are construed as personal attacks. Ask any admin and you'll find that calling people idiots, calling their comments stupid, etc, are all personal attacks. I am done discussing this with you, i'm subscribing to another foundation on wikipedia and not feeding the troll any longer. 98.220.177.162 00:41, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This coming from someone who can't even punctuate correctly is not an insult.
Also, calling someone's comment stupid isn't an insult either, because you're not calling the person stupid, you're calling their comment stupid. So there! - Arbok 00:47, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And I do not believe that this user has done anything resembling vandalism. ~ UDScott 00:33, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. This user appears to be aresponsible editor.--Poetlister 07:08, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User:GreenBalls is making excessive amounts of page moves, deletes and protections, (Special:Contributions/GreenBalls) which is extremely odd for an account which has had not had an activity since 2005. My 2c is a hacked administrator account which should be blocked ASAP while additional investigation is performed. — MrDolomite | Talk 07:06, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GreenBalls (talk · contributions) It appears this account is at it again, doing much disruptive editing and vandalism. A block seems advised. I'm sorry if there's a better place, but I don't see a specific AIV type board here. Update. He appears to have left for now. I cleaned up what I could, but there are some moves that it'll take an admin's special move-over-redirect ability to fix. There are also a lot of pages marked for speedy under CSD G1 from this user's vandalism spurt. I still recommend blocking action justified by repeated vandalism spurts, because I expect this user'll be back. AubreyEllenShomo 08:44, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
