Something seriously odd happenedEdit

I edited the article for Hermann Hesse to move a picture which used to be at the top and I thought more appropriately fitting for his Wikiquote article. However, I went back and noticed you'd reverted it, with a message "massive removal." So I was quite curious at what had happened and looked at the file size of my edit; noticing a change, where there shouldn't have been one. So I looked at the diffs and there were a ton of changes shown as coming from MY EDIT, which I didn't make (i.e., all I did was move the picture, as my summary stated) diffs: 1. I have never seen this happen before either on Wikiquote or Wikipedia (which I have been using for quite a while, not always as my username). What is going on? The most likely thing is you edited an earlier version of the page, as there were significant formatting differences as well, with images using the older "image" designation rather than the current "file" label. ~ Whiterose 19:35, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your quick reply! I have no idea how I would've accidentally done that (as I'm not an inexperienced editor), but I guess anything could happen ;). You implied that you were about to "remove" some things from the article? Is this true--should I wait; or can I (the correct way) flip that image? The image I was moving to the top was the old one that was there; it seemed more appropriate and fitting for Hermann Hesse's Wikiquote article (nonetheless, there now seem to be way too many pictures on the page, compared to how it looked neat and tidy a couple of months ago). Thanks again, Peace and Passion 19:43, 1 August 2009 (UTC).
I replied to your question about this at the Village pump. ~ Ningauble 20:21, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

ThanksEdit

Your work in trimming Batman & Robin (1997 film) is much appreciated. Perhaps you might want to give yourself credit on the Wikiquote:Copyright Cleanup Project page. - InvisibleSun 00:28, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletionsEdit

Thanks for helping out. FYI, the tag for requesting speedy deletion at Wikiquote is REASON (short for REASON). Criteria are listed at the WQ:CSD policy page. ~ Ningauble 13:14, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Wiki CopyrightEdit

Ok, thanks. I was wondering why the number of quotes for the Matrix dropped so low. Juranas 18:45, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

History of deleted pagesEdit

I replied to your question at User talk:UDScott since he was unsure of the answer. ~ Ningauble 13:39, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Leonid FeodorovEdit

Tip: You can save some typing in piped links like "Leonid Feodorov" by using an empty pipe like "w:Leonid Feodorov" if the display text is the same as the page name and it doesn't include problematic punctuation. ~ Ningauble 20:54, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

ThanksEdit

Yeah, I'd missed that, though I'd caught the 11/12 editing rollback switcharoo elsewhere. EVula // talk // // 20:54, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Regarding your vandalism of Franco's pageEdit

Not only does this article state the specific source and their date but also directs the user to the article in which it is reported in.[2] This is not a "conspiracy theory" website, it is the official journal of the United Grand Lodge of England.[3] Franco often made such quotes and the article details the time of freemasons during Franco. I notice however you seem to be stalking me now, or at the least following me around like a fly. - Gennarous 05:35, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

PS For any viewers wondering about this, just check the diffs in the page history. What I did was obviously not vandalism.... Peace and Passion ("I'm listening....") 23:36, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
