Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End edit

At Wikiquote we are now trimming articles in order to avoid the possibility of copyright violation. The additions you are making to Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End are in excess of the number of quotes allowed (14) for the length of the movie. For this reason your edits are being reverted. If you continue to make further excess edits, you will be temporarily blocked from editing. - InvisibleSun 02:35, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Punisher: War Zone edit

I have reverted your addition to Punisher: War Zone because the article had already been trimmed to an eight-quote maximum for a 103-minute film. Please refrain from adding quotes in excess of the Wikiquote:Limits on quotations. ~ Ningauble 15:23, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Sorry. My approach to doing articles is to get as much information as I can in, especially if it's not well-known. I am aware that I have a tendency to include excess information, so I'm trying to work on that. Kittysmith123 05:10, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Avatar edit

I saw the recent addition to your userpage (yes, people sometimes do read these things) and couldn't resist commenting on your remark about Avatar. The part to like is the visuals: lovely use of innovative technology. As for the story: like Cameron's other science fiction offerings, it is a warmed-over and dumbed-down rehash of other people's ideas. (See the Strangelove for Science Fiction review about how lame the story is.) If you thought the story had interesting potential, The Word for World Is Forest by Ursula K. Le Guin is a masterful treatment by a real storyteller that you would probably enjoy reading. ~ Ningauble 17:09, 2 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Ningauble, thank you for your comment. I appreciate feedback. I read the Wikipedia page link and noticed the striking similarities between Word for World is Forest and Avatar. I know that the formula for the movie is a rehash, but I have not actually read the book or seen the movies that Avatar is accused of ripping off (Dances with Wolves, FernGully and Last Samurai - the only one I believe had a remote similarity to it was The Fast and the Furious), so the idea(s) seem relatively new to me. I still think it was a good movie, no matter how much it's considered a ripoff. I'll try to read this book (and stop using "I" at the beginning of my sentences) some time in the future. Once again, thanks for the comment. Kittysmith123 05:10, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

TDK Article Picture edit

I once came across a picture of fellatio the Dark Knight page; it was very similar to the first picture on the Wikipedia article. There was an issue removing the picture but nonetheless I managed to do it. Now, I said that to say this: I NEVER want to see that picture or any fellatio picture on ANY of my pages or other pages again unless it's related to its contents. If it's on an article that's not fellatio-related, I'll try to remove it. If I find one on one of my pages again, then I would like to say this: despite all the hard work I put into the pages I've created, I have no problem with putting a deletion request on one of my own pages.
