Welcome edit

Hello, Dodger, and welcome to the English Wikiquote, a free compendium of quotations written collaboratively by people just like you!

To ask for advice or assistance feel free to drop by the Village Pump or ask on my talk page. Happy editing! And again, welcome! ~ MosheZadka (Talk) 06:41, 21 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hi. If I may suggest something, instead of adding a theme article with one quotation, you may wish to see if there is a theme article which is already close, and add it there. If you feel that your theme is distinct enough, you may wish to open a subsection with that quote -- if the subsection gets enough quotations, it can always be split later. Thanks ~ MosheZadka (Talk) 07:22, 22 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I would like you to utilize preview botton, the center botton under the edit window. Using that, you can see what you will get before you save your edit. --Aphaia 03:45, 24 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

George W. Bush robot quotes edit

I've removed the two quotes you added to George W. Bush, because the Jack Handey quote does not mention Bush, and the "unknown" quote not only has no source and no presence on Google, strongly suggesting it was recently coined, but its coincidence with the Handey quote suggests that you are the author. Wikiquote is not a collection of personal quotes, although you are welcome to add such quotes to your own User page. If I am incorrect, and the Bush/robot quote is from a notable source, please include the source information so it can be verified. Thank you. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 05:19, 19 September 2005 (UTC)Reply
