Hi, you tried to remove the following quote (see here)
- All paid employments... absorb and degrade the mind. (VIII.1337b5)
While you were referring to this source. Now this source is an other translating and does mention the quote, only in other words :
- ... the industries that earn wages; for they make the mind preoccupied and degraded.
There are just two different sources:
- The first here listed is by Jonathan Barnes, 1984/1985/1991/1995
- And the second in your source is by H. Rackham, 1944.
