• I commented out the UBX on your user page and replaced it with the raw code and your current ENWP user name manually inputted in place of the {{PAGENAME}} that is part of the UBX. Once the ENWP name change is done you can simply un-comment the UBX and delete the raw code. Hi Шизомби, i would fix the UBX on you user page for you like i offered to but i just keep racking up ridiculous abuse filter logs for it. User Wikipedia template

It doesn't look like User Wikipedia|Username works if the username there is different? That will work on Wikipedia, so I'm not sure why it won't here. Шизомби 20:31, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

English Wikiquote's templates are often simpler than English Wikipedia's, mostly because they've got far more people to develop and maintain them. We tend to avoid overly sophisticated templates unless they have an experienced editor committed to maintaining them. Furthermore, with the unified login now available, the need for different names is significantly less than it used to be.

However, this change is pretty simple and doesn't interfere with existing use of the template, so I went ahead and added the current w:en:Template:User Wikipedia's two parameters – en:WP username and alternative phrase for "a page" – to our Template:User Wikipedia.
