About me edit

After careful consideration, I have determined myself to be eccentric. In some aspects of life I cannot help but pay intimate attention to detail, while in others I am often oblivious to the most obvious aspects.

Music is in my blood, marching with a dizzying pace through every vein. I cannot go a day without listening to it. Still, I am merely a receptacle; I don't write it or make it (this is slowly changing), but I choose to express myself in other ways.

I hate "funny" music with a passion. Tenacious D and Weird Al Yankovich are two bands I would never listen to. Jack Black annoys the hell out of me.

I feel that the song that best describes everything I look for in a manifesto is Okkervil River's "So Come Back, I Am Waiting" (Black Sheep Boy, 2005, the BEST ALBUM EVER RECORDED).

I'm ineffably scatterbrained, even when I'm on Adderall. I write notes to myself all the time, just strange little ideas that make no sense in the morning. Almost everything I write creatively is written in this manner. I have an obsession with recording the time & date I wrote these things as well.

I'm always open to new ideas and experiences. I believe experiences are the meaning of life. I won't usually mock an idea if it's presented in a logical manner, and I won't usually criticize an idea until I fully understand it. I will, however, mock relentlessly ideas based on ignorance [such as religion, bigotry, conservatism, Ayn Rand, &c.].

I can have ephemeral flashes of genius / eloquence from time to time, but most of the time I have to be on Adderall or out-of-my-mind tired for this to occur.

I am of the belief that no thought is worth its component electrochemical reactions unless it is an attempt at a completely unique way of looking at something. Because of this, I don't subscribe to any particular "scene" and have a fondness for music that defies genre.

My favorite season is Autumn. My favorte colors are red and black. I am very much a cat person. I KNOW kittens are the greatest thing in the universe, but I'm having a hard time proving it.

I am anti-christian, pro-choice, pro-free-speech, a vegetarian, a socialist and a fatalist (there's no such thing as free will -- I'll explain if asked).

I wear black all the time. It's come to the point that I feel weird if I wear colors. I'm usually in semi-casual longsleeve with black jeans, but I'll dress nicely in black if I feel like it. I don't mind ties. I have kickass 13" 40-eyelet steel-toed Doc Marten boots. I have very little muscle mass. I don't currently have any tattoos, but have my right eyebrow pierced.

I'm very pale. I don't know if I sunburn easily because, frankly, I don't care to find out. My hair is naturally a "dirty blonde," but I keep it dyed black.

Wikipedia edit

My contributions usually consist of minor edits on pages already constructed. For example, I will normally take the time to correct grammatical mistakes or re-word a sentence or two if it makes encyclopedic sense to do so.

Capitalization edit

Why the hell can't anyone capitalize anything correctly? Here are the two basic rules I follow for capitalizing titles:

  1. Capitalize the first letter of every word in the title except for "a," "an," "as" (if followed by a noun), "the," "and," "but," "or," "nor," "at," "by," "for," "from," "in," "into," 'of," "off," "on," "onto," "out," "over," "to," "up," or "with."
  2. Capitalize the first letter of the first and last words in the title, regardless of their parts of speech.
Examples of correct capitalization edit
  • In the Aeroplane over the Sea
  • Devil with the Black Dress On
  • When It Fails
  • Sprout and the Bean
  • Either/Or
  • So Much for the Afterglow

I download a lot of music and about 99% of the time it's not capitalized correctly. I also see a lot of articles on the wiki that aren't as well. It doesn't take that long and it's not that hard. Figure it out.
