Talk:Watership Down (film)

It was a book first edit

Watership Down is a book by Richard Adams. It was written as a book before its story was adapted to a screenplay and then animated as a feature film. So, it only seems reasonable that articles about Watership Down should reflect this fact: book first, film second.

Yes it was a book first, but this page specifies that it is about the film. Should you or anyone else want to create a page with quotes from the book, they should probably go on a page for the author, Richard Adams. It is not uncommon for films to be adapted from books. If there were two pages about both a film and a book of the same title, there would be two pages: xxx (film) and xxx (novel), for example. ~ UDScott 18:56, 20 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
