'with no brain at all, just a neck that had haired over' edit
Charlie Munger refers to a saying of a John L. Lewis, presumably this one: 'with no brain at all, just a neck that had haired over'. All my searches find Munger rather than an upstream source.
I did find 'The man with the elongated neck, which had haired over and which he used for, or in lieu of, a head' in History of Butler County, Kansas from 1916. Ralph Corderoy 12:49, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
