Oliver North
American political commentator
Oliver Laurence “Ollie” North (born 1943-10-07) is a former United States Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, author, and host of War Stories with Oliver North on Fox News. As a National Security Council staff member under President Ronald Reagan, he formulated part of a plan involving the clandestine sale of weapons to Iran and diverting the proceeds to Contra rebel groups in Nicaragua. He served as President of the National Rifle Association between 2018 and 2019, but resigned due to a dispute with Wayne LaPierre.
