Original file(SVG file, nominally 600 × 600 pixels, file size: 346 bytes)

This file is from Wikimedia Commons and may be used by other projects. The description on its file description page there is shown below.

Description The Red Crystal, a protection symbol according to the Additional Protocol III (2005) to the Geneva Conventions of 1949, shown with the Red Cross symbol inside. While the empty crystal without any additional symbols confers protection for certain persons, buildings, vehicles etc. in an armed conflict according to International Humanitarian Law, the combination of the crystal with an additional symbol has no protective meaning and can only be used by national aid societies for indicative purposes. Though permitted under the third additional protocol, the combination of the red crystal with the red cross is currently not in use by any national aid society.
